Privacy, by design.
GZ is built to process your image on your device. This page explains what that means and where hosting infrastructure still plays a part.
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Images stay in your browser
When you select an image, GZ uses browser APIs to decode, preview, resize or re-encode it locally. The image bytes are not uploaded to GZ for processing. Downloaded results are created from a browser Blob and saved directly by your device.
No account or analytics
GZ does not provide accounts or use website analytics, advertising cookies or tracking cookies.
Website hosting and technical requests
GZ is delivered as static files through hosting and CDN infrastructure. Like other web infrastructure, a provider such as Cloudflare may process basic request data (for example, IP address, requested URL, user agent and security events) in its logs to deliver and protect the site. That infrastructure data is separate from the image processing flow; GZ does not receive image content for optimization.
External services
Fonts are bundled with the site. GZ does not request fonts from Google Fonts. The HEIC conversion page includes a browser-side WebAssembly decoder as part of the downloaded application bundle; it does not send selected images to an external converter.
Children and contact
GZ does not ask users to submit personal information or create an account. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact channel published by the site operator.
Changes
If the product's data practices change, this page should be updated to describe the actual behavior before that change is deployed.
